We had Rainbow day yesterday and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!! We had a blast tie-dying t-shirts, making ripped rainbows, doing a science experiment with lemonade and making color bleeding flowers! Check out some of our pictures of the fun we had! On Wednesday, September 23rd we are having rainbow day! Students are encouraged to dress up in as many rainbow colors as they can! I am also looking for 2-3 parent volunteers to help me run some rainbow day stations from 9:00-10:20am. If you are able to help, please let me know as soon as possible! Also each student will be making a tye-dye t-shirt to learn about color mixing and to help off-set the costs, if every student could bring in $3, that would be much appreciated! Please let me know if you have any questions!!!! IREC is trying to raise $5000 for cancer research! If you would like to donate online please click HERE! Thank you for all your support
We will be doing our own Terry Fox run on September 24th. Good Afternoon,A few updates in case you are wondering!
1. Book Bags They go home every night and come back to school everyday. This is where we will put any notices that need to go home, library books, completed work etc. Also your child will bring home 2-4 books home everyday to read at home with someone. In their orange home reading folder there is all the info about our home reading program. September's color is red, so each time you read a book you color it in red in their folder. I will collect them at the end of the month to see how they are doing! 2. Library books We go to the library once a week (on day 2's - check the class blog for a list of dates). You can keep the book at home for the week. 3. Color days A list of all our color days were sent home today in case you forgot about them (because there is A LOT). If you signed up to bring a snack, you can drop it off whenever in the day or send it in the morning with your child. Whatever is easiest for you! We usually eat the snack later on in the day. We do have a peanut allergy in the class. -If you signed up to bring snacks, and you forgot, just email me and I will let you know! I know this is a lot of info but thank you so much for taking the time to read it!!!! This has been an AWESOME first three days and thank you for having SUCH amazing, adorable kids!! |
