Today we embodied The Little Red Hen and we made bread! It was hard work but worth the effort! Check out the photos below.

We started our fairy-tale unit and we have had SO much fun reading all kinds of fairy-tales. We read many versions of the Three Little Pigs and then we wrote our own re-tell of the story. By the end of the unit we are going to write our very own fair-tale. In science we are learning all about our 5 senses! We have done lots of experiments like guessing the smell, what does it taste like and eye safety posters. In math we are working skip counting by 2's, 5's and 10's as well as our mental math strategies for addition and subtraction. We love using our friends of ten math strategy! In gym we completed our dance unit and are now doing a gymnastics unit. We are excited at the end of the month to show you all we have been learning at our cerebration of learning! April 4th - Send in home reading logs April 13th - No School April 20th - Little Red Hen Day We will be making bread, just like the story the Little Red Hen! I am looking for 1 or 2 volunteers to help us make bread (at 10:40am for about an hour). If you are able to help let me know! Celebration of Learning This is a drop in event where your child will lead you around a variety of centers to show you what we have been working on! You can come either day during the scheduled times. This is an opportunity for you to see your child's progress and for them to share their learning with you! Here are the day and times: April 24th - 3:00-6:30pm April 26th - 4:00-7:30pm April 26 - Jersey Day April 27th - No School |
